MDC Offers Free Computer Training

Effective Second Semester, A.Y. 2007-2008, MDC's offers a free computer training program to secondary school teachers. This program is part of the college extension program. The training is conducted every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. and will continue for 18 Saturdays until March 22, 2008. The number of participants in the training is limited to 20 students only and selected based on a "first come first serve" basis. The training is divided into two parts. The first part is the study of Basic Software Operations like Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power Point Presentation, etc. The second part is the study of Computer Hardware Servicing including Networking.
Majority of the schools participating in the program came from the public secondary schools. Participants came as far as Ayungon in the North and Siaton in the South. The school is optimistic that there will be more interested secondary school teachers who will signed-up for the program in the succeeding semesters.
