Sports Tennis is great and fun in so many ways. It offers great workouts, competition, discipline, and friendships. It is a very social sport that allows you to have fun during, before and after the match with your friends and opponents. However, Tennis can be a challenging and tricky sport if you are a beginner. The ability to master tennis needs patience and discipline because in order to play it in your full potential you must learn from the basics to the advanced techniques. For example, the changing of your grip to hit the perfect shot in various positions and many other techniques. And this requires you to learn from a good tennis coach. In order to be a good tennis player, it is best to find a good tennis coach. The following are the characteristics and attributes you need to find of what a good coach would require:

First, Patience. It is the most critical characteristic that a good tennis coach should have. In coaching different types of students, a good coach should know how to impart patience to each student. Patience is much more critical for the younger kids. Some are naturally gifted and they are those who do not well co-ordinate with themselves. A good coach must be able to discern the students who are inclined towards ball games and those who need more improvement with their sound ball sense. So that the coach will know what kind of coaching approach is needed to help the student enjoy the game match, skills that are needed to be developed and to impart applications from the lessons that they learn in playing tennis in their life.

Second, Tennis Coaching Experience. The coach’s experience is not taught in school nor bought in any store. Experience built up through years and years of playing, achieving a certain level of tennis skills, and taking courses to improve himself constantly to be a qualified coach. Tennis coaching is the imparting of technical know-how of the coach to the students. This coaching experience will allow the students to learn the techniques much faster. And a coach with experience is able to spot problems in the students’ strokes even to the smallest details and able to correct and teach how to do it right. A kind of coach with sharp eyes that see things that others may not notices is able to correct you how minute the mistake you have made in executing the techniques.

And lastly, a Positive, Firm and Encouraging. A coach that approaches each student with an environment that supports, motivates and making it fun to learn and play. A coach having a result-oriented strategy for the student to be disciplined and for the student to recognize the benefits of tennis through their experience and their desire to improve their gaming experience. Being a firm coach is being consistent and firm to his charges making sure that the student follows and obeying his teaching and at the same time encourages guides each student to consistently improve. And a coach who gives effort in planning and tracking the progress of each student he/she coaches.
